Jorel “JFly” Flynn is a dynamic musician and passionate humanitarian dedicated to empowering young artists. With a profound mastery of the drums, JFly has collaborated with a remarkable array of talent, including Gucci Mane, 2 Chainz, Bobby Brown, Peabo Bryson, André 3000, Cameo, New Edition, Aretha Franklin, After 7, Grammy award-winning Kristian Bush (of country group Sugarland), and John Hopkins of the Zack Brown Band.
As the former President of the Recording Academy® Atlanta Chapter and co-chair of its Education Committee, JFly is committed to shaping the future of music. His extensive television credits include serving as music director for high-profile events such as the WSB Centennial Olympic Park’s 4th of July Celebration, the Soul Train Music Awards, BET’s Sunday Best, the Heisman Trophy Awards, and Tyler Perry’s I Can Do Bad All by Myself and A Madea’s Family Funeral. He also contributed to the critically acclaimed movie Genius: Aretha.
Beyond his music career, JFly is deeply invested in his community. In 2009, he founded the “How Big Is Your Dream!?™️” Foundation Inc., which provides mentorship and resources to aspiring students seeking careers in the entertainment industry. His dedication to education is further exemplified by his role on the Georgia Tech School of Music advisory board, where he helps ensure that music technology remains relevant and innovative. He is also a proud Berklee College of Music alumnus, graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Arts Studies.
JFly’s philanthropic efforts have earned him recognition in Georgia, including proclamations as an Outstanding Georgia Citizen from the Secretary of State. His commitment to uplifting the next generation of artists and fostering creativity in his community continues to inspire all who encounter his work.
