The How BIG Is Your Dream?! Foundation is a non-profit organization that was created from two passions of Jorel “JFly” Flynn—music and youth.
The undeniable pull of these passions drove the desire in “JFly” to give back; therefore, the launching of the HBIYD?! Foundation came into fruition on March 24, 2011. The How BIG Is Your Dream?! Foundation is devoted to the mission of promoting, educating, and developing our youth to excel in music. Our purpose is to provide a platform to create a learning and performance experience to guide our youth in mastering their talents in all major aspects of music diversity through live entertainment. The foundation will accomplish this by offering programs, services and scholarships to youth desiring music; while enhancing music appreciation. Due to that devotion the foundation has partnered with local schools in the Metro-Atlanta area, Waycross, GA (JFly’s hometown), and Blackshear, GA.
Since the inception of the foundation; great strides have been made in implementing the mission and purpose by taking part in career days and hosting a benefit concert at one of our partner schools, Towers High School. Also speaking at DeKalb Regional Youth Detention Center; encouraging young males between ages of 12 and 17 to dream big and work hard. September 24, 2011 marked the 3rd Annual JFly Music Festival, a HBIYD?! funded event to expose youth to great talent and the proof that they can realize their dreams. We awarded our first ever How BIG Is Your Dream?! Education Scholarship to two deserving students during the festival. And, on March 24, 2012 we will host our 1st Annual How BIG Is Your Dream?! Unity Concert, a fundraising event that will bring together the many schools and partnerships we have made to display youth in music. “JFly’s” humanitarian efforts through this foundation will reach youth from all walks of life; letting them know that all their dreams are possible and can come true; therefore, do not let anyone tell you what you cannot do. How BIG Is Your Dream?! Foundation signify no matter what your life’s struggle is … you can be anything that you dare to dream, that takes you to a place to dream even bigger.
